Name:  Outworlds Alliance

Background:  The Outworlds Alliance is a major Periphery power bordering both the Draconis Combine and the Federated Suns, in a region of space known as the Outer Sphere. The Alliance is located spinward of Terra.

History: Since the beginning of the 31st century, the situation in the Outworlds Alliance has become particularly grim. With the general loss of technology, Alliance worlds have suffered from declining population and literacy levels. Though protected by a strong military, many of these planets are unable to feed their own people. The people feel that their government has betrayed them, and there have been many riots and demonstrations against the hereditary Avellar regime in recent years. Although no one has yet seriously challenged the right of House Avellar to rule the Outworlds, armed rebellion is likely if the deteriorating situation does not reverse itself.

Rumors have placed a Clan Snow Raven fleet within the Outworlds Alliance.  Just what the Snow Ravens are doing is yet to be determined.  It is believed that the first contact occurred without combat and that leaders of both factions have had meetings with each other.

Special Rules: 

• Alliance Mechworks donation:  The mechwarrior can start with a Locust LCT-1V, Stinger STG-3R, or Wasp WSP-1A without having to buy it using the 4 million starting funds.  The Mechwarrior must use the chosen mech in the first battle and still has 4 million in the bank to spend after the 1st battle.  After the 1st battle the mechwarrior has free control over the "Free" mech and may sell it if they wish.
• Clan Snow Raven assistance:  Once a Player has 5 Fame they may buy the Clint IIC from their own mech list.  Once the player has 15 Fame they may buy mechs from the Clan Snow Raven lists (below the Outworlds Alliance list on this page). Clan Snow Raven will not allow the mechwarrior to modify any Clan Mechs (Other than Omni swaps).
